- Luigi is a founder of Legalsoftech and an associate professor at the University of Milan. Legalsoftech is an organisation created by a consortium of law firms to develop automation and IT services, including a spin-off from UniCredit Bank.

- Luigi and his colleagues have built that scale – they are now processing about 50,000 documents per year.
- The templates are deployed and supported by just four lawyers. The scale is even more impressive when you hear Luigi explain the emphasis on producing high quality content.

- Luigi’s commitment to quality content had a simple justification: if the layers don’t like it, they won’t adopt it. Content needs to right first time.
- Conversely, because Legalsoftech take time to create good content, they get strong support, and the lawyers come to them with ideas on what they want to see next.
- Legalsoftech run regular surveys to get candid and honest feedback on what’s working well, and what could be improved.
- When they poll the users to find out what they like best, the results show the favourite benefits are:

- Updated content
- The data shows lawyers report time saving 50%-70% on document drafting when aided by automation.
- There are challenges too: some lawyers can be reluctant to share their expertise, a problem long known in law firms promoting knowledge management. This is still a cultural challenge for many law firms.
- In future, Luigi predicts, they want to encourage the emergence of a new type of legal professional: legal knowledge engineers and designers.
- Their focus will be on more than just efficiency. It will be about creating content that is of the highest quality.
