Task 10 Links to Elements

Now we will apply a Link Element to reference text added by a user in a previous section of the Template, thereby populating texts across the document (or documents if necessary).

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Click in the Text Input for Creditor Name

In the Introductory Clause, click in the Text Input for Creditor Name and give it the System Name,creditor-name”.

Step 2: Click in the Text Input for Creditor Address

Click in the Text Input for Creditor Address and give it the System Name “creditor-address”.

Step 3: Click in the Text Input for Debtor Name

 Click in the Text Input for Debtor Name field and give it the System Name debtor-name.

Step 4: Click in the Text Input for Debtor Address

Click in the Text Input for Debtor Address and give it the System Name debtor-address

Now let’s move to the signature blocks. We will apply Link Elements to the Text Inputs, ”creditor-name” and ”debtor-name” to automatically populate names of the parties to the signature blocks. 

Step 5: Click the first Link Element. Find and select the suggestion

Click the first Link Element. Find and select the suggestion “Link to Text Input creditor-name in template Loan Agreement”.  

Step 6: Click the second Link Element. Find and select the suggestion

Click the second Link Element. Find and select the suggestion “Link to Text Input debtor-name in template Loan Agreement”.

Step 7: Save and Test template

 Save the template and view in Test Mode.
